Job description
Charterhouse is working with a globally recognised Investment Management company who are present throughout Europe, Asia and the US. They are now in the process of further establishing their Asian presence, with an emphasis on building the team in Japan. Our client is looking to hire a Managing Director to lead the company through growth plans and client acquisition.
About the role
The Managing Director in Tokyo will work closely with other senior members of the firm to grow the business by building a strong team, with an emphasis on sales and wealth management.
The successful candidate will be responsible for guiding and helping the sales team, as well as being involved with your own sales processes and attract High Net Worth clients to the company. The MD will be required to meet with potential clients and promote the private wealth solutions that are on offer.
In addition, the MD will also be tasked with adding new wealth managers to the team when necessary, in order to continuously grow the business in the Japanese market.
About you
To be considered for this role, the successful candidate should have experience in sales and team management within a relevant industry. Previous experience in Banking, Wealth Management, Private Equity, Insurance, or Real Estate would be highly desirable.
In addition, prior experience in managing a sales team of 10 or more people, while also achieving your own sales targets, would be advantageous. Due to the global nature of the business, a fluency in English and Japanese is required for this position.
