Job description
Charterhouse are working in exclusive partnership with a global leading financial institution, who are striving to create a larger presence in the GCC. Our client is looking to hire an experienced and driven Treasury professional to join the high-performing team based in Qatar.
About the Role
The position involves overseeing assets and liabilities to maintain liquidity, managing risks related to foreign exchange, interest rates, and capital markets within set guidelines. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with credit and counterparty limits, training Treasury staff, and promoting Treasury products. Furthermore, the Group Treasurer would be building infrastructure, formulating business strategies, and facilitating internal cash flow. Additionally, the role includes using market insights to develop new approaches, ensuring adherence to both internal and external regulations, and managing staffing and succession planning.
About you
The ideal candidate will be Degree educated with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience with a reputable financial institution in the GCC, with direct experience working with the Qatar Central Bank (QCB) considered a distinct advantage. A comprehensive understanding of financial markets or risk management within the banking sector is essential. Our client is seeking a results-oriented professional with strong influencing and negotiation abilities, as well as a strong commitment to continuous learning and professional growth.
