Job description
Charterhouse are working in exclusive partnership with a global leading financial institution, who are striving to create a larger presence in the GCC. Our client is looking to hire an experienced and driven corporate professional to join the high-performing team based in Qatar.
About the Role
The role involves leading the team to achieve the unit's objectives by developing new business, maintaining portfolio quality, and conducting regular reviews to ensure the growth and business targets set by management are met. This includes setting goals, objectives, and measurement standards for each Relationship Manager and Credit Analyst, as well as monitoring and evaluating their performance periodically. The Unit Head CIB will ensure departmental efforts are coordinated to meet customer requirements. Additionally, the role involves managing and monitoring the utilization of credit facilities in corporate accounts to maintain the quality of risk assets. Timely and periodic reviews of credit files are conducted using data such as balance sheets, projections, and account statistics. The Unit Head CIB will also be responsible for preparing and renewing credit lines, presenting them to appropriate authorities for approval, and advising customers and operational units accordingly.
About You
The successful candidate should be Degree educated with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with a reputable financial institution in the GCC, including experience working in Qatar. A comprehensive understanding of financial markets or risk management within the banking sector is essential.
